Can a growth mindset or a fixed mindset shape our lives? Sure. How we think about our minds and talents affects how we feel and what we achieve, whether we stick with new habits or continue to grow new skills.

Do you consider yourself to have a growth or a fixed mindset?

Science used to tell us that the human brain stopped growing after childhood, but now we know that the brain is constantly evolving and changing. We can improve our brain's performance through learning and going through new experiences because many parts of our brain learn through experience.

What is a new skill you would like to learn? Why?

Despite the neurological truth, some people still think a person is stuck with the talent and intelligence they were born with. If some people don't have an exceptional talent from birth, they don't try to obtain it because they dislike challenges and prefer to avoid the possibility of failure.

Which ability, sport, or hobby do you like to practice but consider yourself unable to do it?

People with a fixed mindset always want to appear intelligent because they believe they are born with a fixed level of intelligence that cannot be changed. These people are afraid of appearing foolish in the eyes of others because they do not believe that they can stand being seen as unintelligent by others.

Do you consider yourself intelligent? Can intelligence be improved?

However, under a growth mindset, students believe that their abilities and intelligence can be developed with effort, learning, and perseverance. Their basic abilities are just a starting point to their potential. They don't believe that everyone is the same, but they cling to the idea that everyone can become more innovative if they try.

What do you do to be more innovative?

People with a growth mindset are often very attuned to their intelligence and willingness to learn. They understand that all development is a process and set their own process goals to help them get to the end goal. They learned to catch the bad, get the job done, and move on to the next step in the process.

Name a few activities that can help you learn new skills.
