Comics

With their intense visuals and focus on plot and characters, comic books can be much more engaging than other literary media, such as novels or short stories. Today we are going to explore the exciting world of comics. 

Comics is a medium used to express ideas with images, often combined with text or other visual information. Comic books may also help people develop the reading skills required to understand texts with higher levels of difficulty.

There are many kinds of comics. Comic strips are short comics which are often found in newspapers. Comic books are thin comics magazines. Graphic novels are books of comics. In Japan, comics are very popular, and Japanese comics are popular around the world. The Japanese word for comics is manga, and people use this word for Japanese comics in English and other languages.

The first comic strips in the United States were funny. "Comic" is another word for "funny", so they were called "comic strips". The first comic books were collections of comic strips. Today, many comics are serious, but they are still called "comics".

Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century, and the form has a long prehistory in earlier Japanese art. Naruto and Dragon Ball are two of the most popular around the world.

While the comics form originated in 1933, American comic books first gained popularity after the 1938 publication of Action Comics, which included the debut of the superhero Superman. This was followed by a superhero boom that lasted until the end of World War II.

Stan Lee was a renowned comic-book writer and editor and the former chairman of Marvel Comics. Coming to prominence in the mid-twentieth century, his creations included Spider-Man, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, and Iron Man. Stan Lee died November 12, 2018, in Los Angeles, California.

The Justice League is a team of fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The team was conceived by writer Gardner Fox during the Silver Age of Comic Books as a reimagining of the Golden Age's Justice Society of America.
