You can find many different kinds of cars in the world. But how can you find the car that is right for you? Depending on your personal and family needs, you can get the right car, if you spend enough time searching for it. But it is important that you also take time to consider the amount of money that you want to spend on it. Cars can be expensive. Other important aspects for you to make the right decision, are the city or town you live in and the kind of roads where you are going to be driving your new car.  Today we are going to explore how you use cars in your country. 

Cars are divided into six basic classifications in the US. 1. Mini-compact. 2. Sub-compact. 3. Compact. 4. Mid-size. 5. Full-size. 6. Full-size Luxury.

The main idea behind this classification is that, the higher classification the car is, the more space, comfort and engine horsepower it has. But in addition to these there are other classifications such as, minivans, vans, trucks, Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and sports cars, among others. 

As if this classification would not make it hard to make a decision on the kind of car you want to get, you can also decide between having a gasoline, a hybrid or an electric car. This means that the car can be powered by a regular gasoline engine, an engine that is both, part gasoline and part electric, or one that is powered by electricity only. 

People who have lots of money can buy a Tesla car with autopilot. But you have to be careful because there has been controversy with cars that offer this driverless system. Most people think that autonomous cars are not safe enough yet to be trusted on most roads.

The passenger transportation company Uber, was testing an autonomous car in 2018 when there was a fatal accident. The self-driving car killed a cyclist. The company was not considered at fault. Instead, the human Uber driver that was in the driver’s seat and that was functioning as a safety back up, was charged with negligent homicide. After a very careful investigation it was determined that the human was watching a tv program on his cell phone instead of supervising the car.

People that don’t have a lot of money buy second hand cars because they are cheaper. These cars have been used by several different owners for years but they sell them because they need the money to buy a newer car.

Driving in the US requires that people pass a written, as well as a driving test. The person has to learn the traffic laws, answer most of the 50 questions correctly and then demonstrate her driving skills with a representative riding on the passenger side.

For some people cars are a sign of power and economic position. For some others they just represent a way for their transportation.
